No trackers, no analytics, no cookies.

Daylight at Home is a small educational publication. It is built to collect as little as possible, and this page explains what that means in practice, including the one outside service the pages rely on.

What the site collects

The site uses no trackers and no analytics. It sets no cookies of its own. It shows no advertising, so there are no advertising networks collecting information as you read. We do not sell data, because we do not hold any to sell.

The contact form

The contact form is a mailto link. When you use it, your own email program opens with a message addressed to the editors. Nothing is sent to or stored by the site when you do this. The message only goes anywhere if you choose to send it from your email program, and it is then handled by your email provider like any other message.

If you do email the editors, the message and your address are used only to read and answer your note, for example to make a correction.

Fonts from Google Fonts

The pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts. This means your browser requests font files from Google's servers when a page loads, and Google may log that request, which can include details such as your IP address. We do not receive that information and do not control how Google handles it. Google's own policies govern that request.

Guides cite sources such as government agencies and standards bodies, and those links lead to third-party sites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control and which may differ from this page.

Children

The site is written for adults making decisions about their homes and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date. This version is dated 10 October 2026.
